Combating Racism – From Bystander To Upstander

30 Oct

Since the referendum and in the lead-up to the Treaty Bill in Victoria, many First Peoples — and indeed people from other minority and ethnic groups — have experienced an increase in racism.

To help us navigate this reality and foster safer, more inclusive spaces in our churches, organisations, institutions, and social settings, Lomandra has prepared an infographic: “From Bystander to Upstander.”

It offers practical guidance on recognising racism, acting with courage and compassion, and building communities grounded in respect, equity, and truth-telling.

Let’s keep walking this journey together — with open hearts, deep listening, and shared responsibility.
